Privacy Policy

Backyard Theater Productions is a private, invite-only performance series run by Kyle Nichols-Schmolze ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you text our RSVP number, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Your mobile phone number.
• The name you give us for your RSVP.
• The text messages you send us and the ones we send you.
• Your RSVP details: which performance you picked, your party size, and whether you checked in at the door.

We don't ask for payment details, your address, or anything else.

How we use it

Only to run our shows: to take and change your RSVP, confirm it, remind you about it, tell you if a performance you booked changes or is cancelled, check you in at the door, and answer your questions. We send texts only to people who texted us first.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or share your phone number or personal information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

We use a few service providers who handle your information only to provide their service to us:

• SignalWire delivers our text messages.
• Anthropic provides the automated assistant that reads your texts and writes our replies.
• DigitalOcean hosts our servers and database.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Text messages

Message frequency varies with your RSVP activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, and START to resubscribe. Reply HELP for help. See our SMS Terms for details.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while we're running shows, so returning guests don't have to start over. You can ask us to delete your information at any time by emailing us, and we'll do it.

Security

Your information is stored on servers we control, sent over encrypted connections, and only our organizers can see it.

Children

Our RSVP service isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update it on this page and change the date above.
